On the beach of Ankobra Beach from September to January many different species of sea turtles come ashore to lay eggs. Our employees and volunteers are trained to enable our guests to participate in this wonderful and exciting process. Ankobra Beach has committed itself to a marine turtle protection programme and at the same time ensures the targeted and controlled, thus observable suspension of the newly hatched babies. During a night hike along the beach you have a good chance to watch either nesting or hatching of the little ones. Depending on the type of turtles, this process takes up to three hours…
